Hi,
I am Anne Kristin 31 years old. I’ve always had a passion for health and food, the two of them combined is the greatest thing ever. Writing about the so called “superfoods” and other foods, writing about the body, cooking and working out is all things I enjoy.
I workout everyday in one way or the other. Gymaholic you might call me. I am a fitness instructor but also a Zumba instructor. I love challenging my self and others. My passion is kickboxing, and I would love to get back to that full time one of these days:)
But….Since I was little I have struggled with food allergies, and it is something that a lot of the members of my family also struggles with. Amongst my allergies are intolerance to milk (but I can use more sour products like yoghurt), yeast, wheat and refined sugar. ( This was the short and easy version). I have been diagnosed with IBS, also called “Irritable Bowl syndrome”.IBS together with Chron’s and celiac disease is getting more and more common these days.
It all started with my food allergies, and how to eat to feel better. Food actually makes you feel better. Do you feel sluggish, tired or even depressed? Have you thought that it actually is sometimes what you put into your body that reflects on and in you? Over the last years research has shown that food allergies, or as some say the bodies incompetence to process certain foods is getting more and more common.
On my page you will find information about products, supplements, recipes, and also healthy alternatives to add to your life.
Health, nutrition and working out has always been something that I have been interested in. And over the last decade my interest for all this has increased. I used to be a vegetarian for a very long time, but I have slowly started introducing meat back into the menu.
These things on my page is things from my mind, and my own opinions. I am not a professional nutritionist or anything of that sort. I am just genuine interested in food and exercise, and what we get from our food, and what we gain on actually being in movement.
A reason for me to start this blog is because I ‘ve always been interested in food, nutrition and health. People can effect their own lives and the once around them, with being active, think about what the food one puts in the mouth, and think and get informed about health.
I believe that my healthy life style and habits, working out, taking my greens helped me along the way to have the best pregnancy a woman can have, and to a fast recovery. I speak from experience of the births, and pre-post pregnancy.
Please leave comment, and look around. There is still a lot of work left on this blog. But it is a work in progress.
Much Love From
Anne
So we have a few things in common already…my full name is Kristin Ann and as a child I was allergic to milk/lactose. Fortunately I seem to have grown out of that for the most part. Although I have to watch my intake – moderation is key. Congratulations on your new little one!
Thank you:) Yes, moderation is key:)
I came to find this out the hard way:)
Hello there, you have some really neat recipes here. I’ll have to try the avocado mango breakfast. Looking forward to reading more!
I think all your napping pictures were awesome.
Hello! First of all, thank you for subscribing to http://cosytravels.wordpress.com! I had a look at your blog too, and guess what, I am allergic to milk too and have IBS too. So, a blog about healthy food is surely very interesting! I am looking forward to reading more from you!
I love traveling, and your blog looks really good. After being diagnosed with the IBS I came to know that a lot of people actually have it.
Hello! I have just found your blog, and I am also allergic to milk and have IBS (and I love Norway and Norwegian). I have just started a blog myself (http://ediblepsychology.com/), and I will look forward to checking out both of your blogs.

Hi Anne, Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. I love your recipes but (and you can call me stupid!) what is a “dl” in terms of quantity? All I could think of what demi-liter.
A dl is a deciliter, in Norway we use the metric system, and a deciliter is therefor used as a metric system unit of volume. 1 deciliter is 0.1 liter, it takes 10 dl to make 1 liter. If you want to convert it to 1 dl =3.4oz. Also you can use Internet to convert for you if want it any other measurements there are many out there to mention some:
http://www.convertunits.com
http://www.convertworld.com/en/volume/dl.html
http://www.unitjuggler.com/convert-volume-from-dl-to-floz.html
And some one once said: “there is no stupid questions, only stupid answers”
Anne, thanks for clearing that up on both blogs…we’re on the metric system here too, but when it comes to cooking, we stick with the American system since so many of our cookbooks are from there. When I think about it, we Canadians have to be split personalities in odd ways. We use English spelling and American punctuation!
