healthy eating my way (allergy friendly)
So the winter storms are knocking on the door here, and the trees are laying flat. The storm Brita has been here, and left. Puh, it was too windy here the last couple of days. My thoughts go out to all those lost at sea, and their families.
On an other note: Orange juice, and carrot juice both are immune boosters, full of powering C vitamins and flavanones. Ginger is also immune enhancing, it is a stong antioxidant, contains two natural antibiotics, anti-flammatory. I could keep on going. It is also said that carrot juice is beneficial for weight loss since it is so packed with concentrated nutrients. No matter what you are there are many benefits of carrot juice. I drink it because I like the flavor when I mix it with orange juice and cinnamon. And its a good replacement for coffee in the morning. Here are some interesting web pages to look at on the topic.
For this recipe you need a juicer, you can use a blender, but then you have to add some water:
1 cm ginger (optional)
1/2 tsp agave nectar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1.Add the carrot, orange, lemon and ginger to the juicer.
If using a mixer: mix it together, adn then strain it using a strainer, press the pulp with aspoon.
2. Add the juice in a glass and stir in the agave nectar and cinnamon.
A refreshing start on the day.
