Oatmeal Soup-Havregrynssuppe

This is something my grandmother makes. It is something that she is used to from when she was little. Some make it with salt, some make it without. If you want the soup a little thicker, then just add some more oats. Also adding raisins in this while it is still cooking, is  an option.  A nice side-kick, and a good alternative to the “normal” oatmeal porridge that I eat. Also look at the fruit version I made of this one that I have posted earlier. How do you eat your oatmeal?

2 servings

4 dl  (1 3/4 cup) milk ( I used a lactose free one)

1/2 dl (1/4 cup) oats

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp salt (optional)

1/2 tsp yacon or maple syrup


Bring to a boil, and let simmer for 5 minutes.

    Yum yum, I love porridge in the morning 😀 I eat it with honey and absolutely love it with blackberries and bananas 🙂 Charlie likes adding an apple or a pear 😀
