So you might think that buckwheat is a cereal grain, but it is actually an fruit seed and is related to rhubarb and sorrel. This makes it an excellent substitute for grains for people who have intolerance or sensitive to wheat, or toward grains that contains gluten.
Buckwheat has great values of fatty acids (including Omega 3-6), calcium, iron, magnesium, folate, Vitamin B and many other nutrients. An other good reason to include this seed to your diet.
