In the western world wheat flour is one of the most used foods there is. It has been around since  the Industrial revolution.  The word flour comes from the french language, in the form of fleur which means to blossom. Wheat flour is the most produced flour of all the different kinds of flour. There is high content of gluten in this kind of flour. And in todays society people are growing more and more intolerant to certain foods, wheat flour being one of them.
