As we head into the new year you might hear a lot of people talk about cleansing and detoxing. Imagine you have a car, you drive the car EVERY day. Miles upon miles upon miles. You have to change the oil right? What happens if you don’t ? Will that car just keep going? It’s the same with the cleansing and detoxing.
A detox, re-boot of your system is recommended to do a couple of times a year. It creates more energy, improves your immune system, helps your weight++++
But it is important to remember that if it your first time, take it easy. Listen to your body. You have to ease into a detox, not go from eating “heavy” food, to just cleansing and detox the next day. That transition might be to hard for your body. And as you do the detox remember your colon health. It is recommended to take prebiotics as a supplement when doing a detox, so you don’t “flush” out all the good stomach bacterias too.
What happens in a cleanse:
Toxins are dumped from where they are stored in your body, the tissue, and it gets released into the blood, so that they can be eliminated. This is why, during a cleanse that it is important to drink plenty of water to flush out the toxins.
Juicing a perfect way to cleanse, and rejuvenate your body. It’s also an easy way to get in those nine to thirteen servings of fruits and vegetables.
